Parlane Resources (PPP, $0.315 +12.5% Vol: 565,500)
Shares Outstanding: 12,696,265
Parlane has earned its third appearance in our vaunted Daily Mining Movers, rising 150% in the first 2 weeks of November on continued encouraging news from their large Big Bear prospect in Central B.C. Parlane’s 273-square-kilometre Big Bear mineral claim is located immediately north of, and adjacent to, New Gold Inc.’s 8.2 million ounce (gold) Blackwater deposit. Parlane announced that “native copper” (copper in its elemental form) was discovered on company ground by geoscientists working with UBC’s Mineral Deposit Research Unit. Samples from the area have been submitted for further analysis, with results expected back in about a month. The company has moved its resources to this area for further mapping and and prospecting.
Sunset Cove Mining (SSM, $0.18 +28.6% Vol: 810,500)
Shares Outstanding: 27,542,296
Shares in SSM have been on a wild roller coaster since coming back to trade in August 2016. Since then the company has rolled back its stock 10 for 1 and raised $775,000 at 0.05/share, ending up with 27.5 million shares outstanding. Concurrent with the restructuring and financing, in July the company announced it was optioning the 880 hectare Houlton Woodstock Manganese Property located in Carlton County, New Brunswick. While SSM awaits the TSX-V’s final approval for the acquisition, it’s going ahead with commissioning a 43-101 report on the project. Excitement seems to be stemming from the fact that London listed Minco PLC (MIO:LSE) holds an advanced manganese project in the Woodstock area, with a pre-tax NPV of $846 million. The company has not yet shared more information on the project, however it can be found here: http://www.globexmining.com/property.php?id=72
